Do Poles like American clothing labels? Part 1

Polish market is full of American clothing brands but it is just a tiny percentage of all American brands available. Those regularly visiting the US or having families who shop for them might be well aware of that. Evidently, the 11 million Poles living in the US contribute a lot to the popularity of US labels in Poland…

Polish market is full of American clothing brands but it is just a tiny percentage of all American brands available. Those regularly visiting the US or having families who shop for them might be well aware of that. Evidently, the 11 million Poles living in the US contribute a lot to the popularity of US labels in Poland. Although it is hard to really say what American brands are most popular in Poland, the ones we often see in Polish streets are:

    •  Tommy Hilfiger, a brand combining young boldness and a classic style;
    • Ray-Ban glasses, which gained huge popularity thanks to the Aviator model, designed specifically for the

    • Timberland shoes: waterproof shoes manufactured in an environmentally friendly way that are associated with travelling;
    • Calvin Klein clothing (a brand with a smart and simple style known for controversial marketing campaigns);

    • Converse (the All Star model widely popular with young subcultures; a symbol of rebellion);

This list never ends. Some of the brands are available in Poland but at prices higher than in the U.S. and the range of products available not as impressive as in the US. Many new products reach Poland with a delay or not at all.
